Ms. Whitney Smith
Professional Resume
As an administrator, executive director and lead educator, my gift of organization and balanced leadership has enabled businesses and institutions to recover, expand and thrive.
My passion is helping others. I am gifted at empowering people to discover what’s important, expand creativity and achieve results. I’m an interactive team player and frontline contributor who is comfortable taking the reins when appropriate.
Throughout my career, I’ve consistently, and often rapidly, been promoted to leadership and executive positions. Having had the privilege of leading teams in health and senior care services, institutional facility management and in education, I bring a wealth of practical, tactical and strategic experience to bear on the challenges and opportunities for Eastmont Schools.
I have the experience, professionalism and skills to lead:
-
As a coach, I’ve shaped and encouraged young minds while embracing a diverse and multicultural environment.
-
As an Administrator and Executive Director, I have managed varied teams of professional, medical, operational, financial and trade experts. All aspects of recruiting, empowering, and team alignment have been under my purview as we executed on strategic plans. I’ve acted as chief fiduciary of multi-million dollar budgets including revenues, human resources, facilities, food and health services, risk mitigation, compliance and external community engagement. During my tenure, I refined policies and procedures and led us through difficult realignments, intense third-party audits, and ultimately accreditation to achieve compliance in a highly regulated industry.
-
As a Lead Academy Teacher, I select and prepare curriculum, education materials and lessons. I assist in coordinating teachers, parents, PTO and the broader community carrying out educational plans that include a wide range of hands-on experiences, field trips, community volunteerism, expression through art and, of course, academic accomplishment. As a member of an agile and compact team, I support the strategic, operational, academic, artistic and holistic priorities set forth by administration, parents and our community.
Throughout my life, I’ve been called to contribute in meaningful and impactful ways. I believe my gifts, coupled with my experience in and out of the classroom, will help shape the future of mindful, whole-child learning through artistic, athletic and experiential environments that lead to educational excellence.
Please reach out. I’d love to discuss my vision and hear what you’d like to see from our Eastmont Schools. I look forward to earning your support and your vote, as I seek the honor of serving as Director for Eastmont School Board, Position 2.
