Safety and security for students and staff must be a top priority.
Security means that our most valuable asset – the lives of those we love, is protected. How we provide that protection must be balanced; providing safety with realistic options. Ensuring that emergency/crisis plans are up to date with the best practices, building have appropriate security equipment, technology is secure, and that staff and students receive the best training for how to respond to these situations must be prioritized.
Safety means we are providing a place that the lives of students and staff can flourish physically, mentally, and emotionally. Making soft skills and behavior expectations a core part of learning as a whole child means that we can provide a space for each child to flourish and move our students closer to a culture of kindness.
